Pokemon Go Fest 2021 is just around the corner, and will bring a whole host of festivities to the popular mobile app to celebrate the game's fifth anniversary - but when exactly is it?

Pokemon Go Fest 2021: When Is It Taking Place?

Pokemon Go Fest 2021 will be taking place on July 17-18 around the world. Depending on where you're based, you'll be able to take part in the event - even if you haven't bought yourselves a ticket.

The two-day festival event will start at 10PM in your local time and finish at 6PM for the day. During this time, you'll be able to make the most of the exciting new additions to the app, including shiny Pokemon and rare legendary types.

Pokemon Go Fest 2021: How Much Is A Ticket?

While the Pokemon Go Fest 2021 itself is free for all who own the app, you can get a lot more exclusive items, shiny access, and challenges included in the Festival Pass, which will set you back £5/$5. You can buy your pass at the in-game store, and it'll cover you for both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday is more for those who want to collect their shiny additions, as they will spawn a lot more on the 17 July. For those who are fans of raiding, Sunday is when you'll want to log on to the app.

Pokemon Go has been a cult classic since the moment it landed on phones. The list of rare 'mons that can now be caught and obtained - either via Raids or general spawns - have amassed to the majority of the regions.

Entering its fifth year, there's clearly a huge demand for more in-game challenges, collectables, and stickers to boot. Players don't just catch 'em all anymore, but they can now send gifts to friends, battle with other trainers from lands far away, fight off the evil Team Rocket to release shadow Pokemon from the depths of doom, and play with their buddies. Happy hunting Pokefans.
