You may want to know about the Persona 4 Golden romance options, as there are multiple different characters that you can form bonds with to establish relationships. Persona 4 Golden is a re-release of the popular JRPG that mixes simulation elements with turn-based combat in dungeon sections.

Many of those simulation elements involve socialising with other characters, so if you've quickly found your favourite, check out if they're part of the Persona 4 Golden romance options.

There is a total of eight characters who can be romanced in Persona 4 Golden. All of the potential relationships are hetero, as the protagonist is male and all the romanceable characters are female.

The process for romancing a character is also fairly simple, as you just need to consistently rank up their social link to a specific level. This can be done by spending time with characters and giving them the best answers during dialogue encounters.

Each time the social link metre fills up, you will earn a new social link rank. You can also gain boosts to the social link metre by equipping specific Arcana cards that correspond to the characters when interacting with them.

The necessary social link rank differs for each character, but once you reach it, the game will tell you that you can establish a relationship with them or remain friends.

Below are the names of the characters, their Arcana card, and the social link ranks needed to get into a relationship with them:

  • Ai (Moon) - Rank 6 and 9
  • Ayane (Sun) - Rank 8
  • Chie (Chariot) - Rank 9
  • Marie (Aeon) - Rank 9
  • Naoto (Fortune) - Rank 8
  • Rise (Lovers) - Rank 7
  • Yukiko (Priestess) - Rank 9
  • Yumi (Sun) - Rank 10

You are able to get into more than one relationship, but it will have repercussions once it comes to Valentine's Day or Christmas in-game, where you'll be outed for your playboy ways.

That's all for our coverage of the Persona 4 Golden romance options, and now you know which characters can be romanced, along with how the process works.

You may wonder, what is the canon Persona 4 Golden protagonist name? Check out our guide to find out.
