Is Persona 4 Golden coming to PlayStation 4? Person 4 Golden is a lauded classic of the series which, for many years, was only available on the PlayStation Vita. In 2020, the game made its way to Steam, but now in 2023, we are seeing its release on multiple modern consoles. So let us answer the question, is Persona 4 Golden on PS4?

Much of the talk around the re-releases of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable in 2023 has regarded their appearance on the Xbox Game Pass service. As such, the fact that the games are coming to more consoles than Xbox has flown somewhat under the radar.

The fact of the matter is that Persona 4 Golden is now available on Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4. So rest assured, anyone who has been hoping to play this classic on their PS4 can do so now.

Person 4 Golden On PS4: What About PS5?

You may have noticed that, on the list of available platforms, the PlayStation 5 is conspicuously absent. While Persona 4 Golden is available for almost every conceivable modern platform, it is true that there is no specific PlayStation 5 version.

This may seem like an oversight, a mostly PlayStation-exclusive series leaving out the most recent PlayStation console in this mass release of some classic games. The uneventful truth of the matter is, Persona 4 Golden is a PS Vita port of what was originally a PS2 game, and this release is not a major remaster. The game does benefit from running on modern hardware, but it is still essentially the same game.

As such, whether you own a PS4 or a PS5, the PS4 version is the intended version of the game. Thanks to the PS5's backwards compatibility, the PS4 version is perfectly playable on the newer console.
