Is Honkai Star Rail coming to PlayStation 4 & 5? PS5 release date announced

The popular sci-fi gacha game Honkai: Star Rail is finally heading to PlayStation 5, and we have the official PS5 release date, but is it coming to PS4? Fans of Genshin Impact on PS5 will no doubt be excited to finally be able to get their hands on miHoYo's latest game, which is now just right around the corner.

The game was confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 5 a while ago, but until now we didn't have official confirmation of a release date. Read on to find out everything you need to know about Honkai: Star Rail on PS5.

Is there a Honkai: Star Rail PS5 release date?

As shown in the State of Play on September 14, 2023, Honkai: Star Rail is coming to PS5 with a release date of October 11, 2023. The game's pre-registration is available now for players to sign up, too.

This is when players can finally get their hands on this sci-fi adventure, and what's more, it's free to try out for all players, just like Genshin Impact. Alongside this, it features additional gacha mechanics where you can pay to roll for new characters or weapons to add to your roster.

While knew the game was coming to PS5 for a while, it wasn't until now that we learned about the game's official release date following its PC arrival earlier in 2023 - and there's not much longer to wait!

Is Honkai: Star Rail coming to PS4?

Unfortunately, there is no release date for Honkai: Star Rail on PS4 yet. There's supposedly a PS4 version in the works, but it won't be released on the same date as the PS5 version.

There has been no word from HoYoverse on when the PS4 version might be released, so PS4 players will have to wait some more before playing the game. Hopefully, we'll find out more about a possible PS4 version release date soon.
