Honkai Star Rail Characters: All Announced Characters

There have been a few Honkai Star Rail characters announced so far from developers HoYoverse. Like Genshin Impact, characters in Honkai Star Rail will have rarity levels based on stars and their own attributed element which they can utilise in combat. There are seven elements in the game, along with seven ‘Paths’ which characters will follow to achieve special buffs in combat. Honkai Star Rail: Arlan

Arlan is the chief of security at the Herta Space Station, accompanied by his loyal pet dog, Peppy. Although he doesn’t share the same acumen as the researchers of the station, he is dedicated to keeping the station safe and functioning. Described as an introvert, he only lets his guard down around Peppy. HoYoverse has alluded to his dark past with mention of the scars he has as being worn as ‘badges of honour’.

Arlan has a four-star rarity with an affinity for the Lightening element and follows The Destruction Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Asta

Asta is the lead researcher of the Herta Space Station with an innate curiosity of the universe, as her post would suggest. Asta is described as being bright and energetic with great people skills, which she utilises when managing her staff.

Asta is a four-star Fire type that follows the Harmony Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Blade

Blade is a Stellaron Hunter who is somewhat mysterious, deciding to assume the name of Blade with his original name unknown. The ancient sword he carries is marked by numerous battles he has previously survived. As a Stellaron Hunter, he is tasked with locating the destructive Stellaron gems.

Blade is a five-star Wind character who follows The Destruction Path for increased damage when placed at the front of the parry, or when fighting alone.

Honkai Star Rail: Bronya

Bronya is a Silvermane Guard commander, tasked with keeping Belobog safe. She is also heir to the guardianship of Belobog, meaning she has received intensive training and education from a young age. Despite this, she is unsure of herself and her ability to lead the people, in the wake of witnessing the conditions of the Underworld in Belobog.

Bronya is a five-star Wind character who follows The Harmony Path for cooperative buffs to party member's abilities.

Honkai Star Rail: Clara

Clara is a shy girl who lives in Belobog and was raised by her robot companion, Svarog. Her desire for a family stems from being orphaned at a young age, around the same time that she accidentally reactivated Svarog. Svarog is a relic from the ancient civilisation that came before and despite being a robot, he has risen to become leader of the Prospectors in Belobog.

Clara is a five-star rarity character who has Physical elemental ability and follows The Destruction Path for increased tank-like damage when attacking at the front of a party.

Honkai Star Rail: Dan Heng

Dan Heng is an expert spear wielder and guard for the Astral Express, a train that journeys across the stars. The Astral Express is open to all passengers for transportation throughout the galaxy. The crew of the Astral Express are called ‘Trailblazers’ and were founded by Himeko after she repaired the train, which has a rich ancient history.

Dan Heng is already becoming a quick fan-favourite, with inspired artwork across the Honkai forums. He is described as being a mysterious character, with an elusive past and in possession of a legendary spear named Cloud-Piercer. He is a four-star character with an affinity for the Wind element and a follower of The Hunt Path which inflicts high damage to single targets during combat.

Honkai Star Rail: Gepard

Gepard is the captain of the Silvermane Guards, charged with keeping the peace in Belobog. Originating from a noble background, Gepard is part of the Landau family. Although a little uptight, Gepard is attributed for the success of the city’s defence.

Gepard is a five-star Ice character, who follows The Preservation Path for powerful defensive abilities during combat.

Honkai Star Rail: Herta

Herta is the namesake and founder of the Herta Space Station, the first researcher to seek a place of learning away from the common laws of mankind. Herta takes on the appearance of a puppet and is a mysterious figure in the Honkai Star Rail universe. Due to her high intelligence, she is described as often picking up and dropping projects as she pleases, her attention span wanders as she loses interest in current affairs.

Herta is a four-star Ice character who follows the Erudition Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Himeko

Himeko is a dreamer in search of adventure. She has become the leader of the Trailblazers and the Astral Express after spending her formative childhood years fixing the train and restoring it back to former glory. She is the navigator of the train and a practising scientist, quickly becoming a firm fan favourite across the Honkai forums.

As such she is a five-star character with Fire affinity, who follows The Erudition Path meaning she can target multiple enemies at once in a devastating AOE.

Honkai Star Rail: Hook

Hook is the leader of The Moles Adventure Squad, a group of young characters that live in the Underworld in Belobog and play games to pass the time there. For now, little is known of her origins.

Hook is a four-star Fire character who follows The Destruction Path with the ability to inflict burn damage on enemies for three turns of combat.

Honkai Star Rail: Jing Yuan

Jin Yuang is one of the six generals of the Xianzhou Alliance, an ancient organisation that seek to end any remaining undead from a cataclysmic event called the Abundance. Cloud Knights are an army formed from Xianzhou, of which Jing Yuan is the leader.

Jin Yuang is a five-star Lightning character who follows The Erudition Path for multi-target AOE attacks.

Honkai Star Rail: Kafka

Kafka is a wanted criminal, hunted by the Interastral Peace Corporation. Along with Silver Wolf, she is a Stellaron Hunter, a faction which hunts Stellarons, powerful gems of destruction. Kafka was featured on the announcement trailer during Summer Game Fest 2022, shown to have proficiency in knives, swords, and light guns with the ability to inflict a shock AOE.

Kafka is a five-star rarity character, with an affinity for Lightening who follows The Nihility Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Luocha

Luocha is described as a trader, who has travelled from foreign lands in search of honing his medical skills.

Luocha is a five-star character that uses the Imaginary element and follows The Abundance Path for healing abilities.

Honkai Star Rail: March 7^th

March 7^th, as the name suggests is an elusive character among the Honkai Star Rail roster. She has amnesia after awakening on drifting ice in space. She decided to name herself after the date she woke up, having no idea what her previous identity was. Perhaps because of her unknown background, she is obsessed with documenting her experiences with her trusty camera. After being saved by the Astral Express she decided to join the crew and become a Trailblazer.

March 7^th is an Ice character of a four-star rarity. She also follows The Preservation Path, allowing powerful defensive powers during combat.

Honkai Star Rail: Natasha

Natasha is a well-respected doctor who treats people in the Underworld in Belobog. Doctors are rare, and rarer still in the Underworld where resources and money is lacking. Natasha is regarded highly for her skill and is a four-star character available to recruit to your party.

She has the Physical elemental ability and follows The Abundance Path for healing buffs to party members during combat.

Honkai Star Rail: Pela

Pela is an intelligence officer for the Silvermane Guards of Belobog. Described as young but incredibly bright, she is a master at problem solving. Whilst the internal affairs department is still something of a mystery, she is said to be able to distribute supplies, move troops and provide expertise on terrain as part of her post.

As a jack of all trades, Pela is a four-star Ice character who follows The Nihility Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Sampo

A profit-driven salesmen at Belobog, Sampo is described to be charming and capable of selling anything to anyone. He owes allegiance to no one and isn’t above selling out customers for more money and a better offer elsewhere.

Sampo is a four-star Wind character who follows The Nihility Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Seele

Seele is a tough character who grew up in the Underworld of Belobog, as such she is used to surviving on her own. She is also part of the Wildfire faction, which is the ruling power of the slum-like Underworld.

Seele is a five-star Quantum character who follows The Hunt Path for high single-target damage attacks.

Honkai Star Rail: Serval

Serval is a guitar-playing mechanic, who owns her own workshop that she temporarily closes from time to time to hold rock concerts. As the eldest daughter of the noble Landau family in Belobog, she is rebellious of her high-class birth. Her workshop is called ‘Neverwinter’ and is pursued purely as a hobby for Serval.

Serval is a four-star Lightning character who follows The Erudition Path for multi-target AOE attacks.

Honkai Star Rail: Silver Wolf

Along with Kafka, Silver Wolf is a Stellaron Hunter who is famous in the Honkai Star Rail universe as a master hacker. Described as a genius, her view of the world is shaped by her ability to aether edit, a skill which can change the perspective of reality, in a way similar to that of the Matrix. Her hacking abilities can weaken enemies in combat and leave them open for follow-up attacks.

Silver Wolf is a five-star character who has an affinity with the Quantum element and follows The Nihility Path.

Honkai Star Rail: Sushang

Sushang is a member of the Cloud Knight army of Xianzhou, under the leadership of Jin Yuang but with aspirations to rise through the ranks herself. Sushang is an optimist who believes in helping others, whilst mastering swordsmanship with her greatsword in the process.

Sushang is a four-star character who utilises the Physical element and follows The Hunt Path for high damage on single targets.

Honkai Star Rail: Welt

Welt is a fellow Trailblazer and newest member aboard the Astral Express. Despite his unassuming appearance, Welt hides a dark past. He was once the sovereign of Anti-Entropy who has ‘saved the earth’ multiple times. Now retired, he journeys with the Trailblazers as an artist after travelling through a portal in space.

Welt is a five-star character with an affinity for the Imaginary Element and The Nihility Path.
