Players who've become keen Stellar Blade fans after playing the demo will be glad to know they won't have to do much to carry over their save progress to the full game.

Although the Game Director's comments on the PlayStation Blog confirming you'll be able to carry over your save data weren't 100% clear on how, I've been able to clarify that for all you need to know.

How to carry over your demo save data

To transfer your Stellar Blade demo progress, you'll simply need to start the full game after completing the demo. As shown in the image below, "the saved data will sync" and you'll continue from your demo save right before its final boss fight, Abaddon.

Specifically, this means you'll need to have beaten the beasty Nytiba fight after roughly an hour of gameplay, taking you to the title card and pre-order screen.

After going back to the main menu and being notified that "Boss Challenge has been unlocked", this means you've completed the demo and can carry over your save when playing the full version of Stellar Blade.

Whilst this does mean you'll have to defeat Abaddon a second time in the full game, you'll still save far more time in the long run than starting again from the very beginning.

Although ahead of the game's April 26 release, I still haven't been able to completely confirm if your item inventory of potions, grenades, and crafting materials carries over as well - but I'll be updating this guide as soon as that information is available.
