How to solve the Red Hot Ruins puzzle

Once you’ve reached friendship level 7 with Retsuko, you’ll be sent into the Red Hot Ruins, where there are multiple puzzles for you to solve. You will have to find five Power Crystals in order to access the Red Hot Ruins and get the Volcanic Guitar. 

  • You will find the first Power Crystal will be on the east path away from Retsuko. It can be found in the grey mountain area. 
  • The second Power Crystal will be found in the middle of the lakes on the east side of the island. To find it, the crystal will be in front of the two waterfalls.
  • The third Power Crystal is found on a rock patio on a lake directly west of Retsuko.

Once you have all three Power Crystals, walk up to the Red Hot Ruins and place the Power Crystals to activate the mechanism, letting now have access to the Red Hot Ruins.

Now that you have access to the ruins, you will be able to enter alongside Retsuko and Chococat so you can work on getting the Volcanic Guitar from Hothead Mountain, which is one of Retsuko’s favourite gifts.
