One of the best villagers in the game to teach you to swim is Keroppi. With him being an amphibian, it only makes sense that he will be the one to teach you how to get the flippers.

How can you get Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

First, in order to get Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you need to complete a quest and reach level 1 friendship with Chococat, which is thankfully very easy to do.

Once you have done that, you’ll have to find the three Yellow Power Crystals on the island. This is for the quest “Power Up the Gate”. They are easy to find as they are tracked via a Sensor, and are all gathered in the Resort Plaza. 

Two of them are in some ruins that you’ll need to enter but are still within the grounds of the Resort Plaza. 

Once you have the crystals, enter them into the mechanism and the gate will be powered up. This will allow you to access Keroppi and Kuromi.

Now that you’re in the Swamp, follow the path left as you exit the gate until you reach a waterfall. Next to it is a cliff with slats - climb the slats to reach the top of the cliff. Now that you’re in the Spooky Swamp, Keroppi will be by the entrance. Give him My Melody’s Welcome Gift, and you’ll get the recipe for Flippers!

How to Craft Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Now that you have the recipe, here are all of the ingredients that you will need to craft Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure:

  • Fins
  • Strap

Luckily, Keroppi gives you Fins. The Strap is found in a treasure chest located northwest of Keroppi, hidden away on a dock. Once you’ve got both of these items, you can take them to Chococat’s Crafting Bench to make the Flippers, letting you swim freely in the waters with them equipped.
