It's time to suit up in spandex and jump off the Battle Bus straight into Fortnite's Marvel-themed Chapter 2 Season 4. While we've been busy getting to grips with the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier as a base of operations, playing hammer time with Thor, and trying to unlock Wolverine with his adamantium claws, Epic Games has been working on its own Fortnite Marvel LTMs.

Since Fortnite's release, we've enjoyed limited-time modes like The Floor is Lava, Solid Gold, and The Getaway. We previously settled in for a Marvel LTM with the Avengers: Endgame tie-in for 2019, however, that's nothing compared to the crossover madness of Chapter 2 Season 4.

The latest update has given fans the biggest Marvel drop since the season started, and also includes the drop of some brand new Marvel LTMs.

Fortnite Marvel Knockout LTM

First up, Marvel Knockout pits two teams of two to three players against each other, and lets them make the most of those all-star Marvel powers. The tournament-style match will see the sparks fly as everyone gets to try out Groot's Bramble Shield, Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets, or Silver Surfer's Board. Even though the powers are dished out at random, if your teams has players with Black Panther's Kinetic Armour and Thor's Mjolnir Strike, the other team will be matched with the same powers.

Teams have to reach a certain point threshold - with each kill counting as one point. When the clock runs out, the team with the most kills will advance to the next round. Be warned though, if it's a tie, both teams will be knocked out of the competition. You only have to get through four rounds to be crowned winners, but trust us, it's harder than it sounds. Our advice is to team up with players you already know and trust if you want to win Marvel Knockout.

Marvel Standoff

Coming next, Marvel Standoff sees players work in larger teams and grab powers as they fall from the sky. Although respawning is enabled in the LTM, you only have a limited number of lives (you're given two extra). Marvel Standoff plays until one team runs out of lives - and the other wins. At the time of writing, Standoff isn't live in-game, so you'll have to wait a little longer.

There's also the inclusion of more Fortnite Marvel LTMs with something called Mint-Condition. It's all hush-hush right now, but it's suggested this will be a crossover that brings iconic superpowers from Marvel Comics into the map for an ensemble LTM.

As we get to grips with what Epic has to offer, the latest update has added customisable superhero skins, the major arrival of Stark Industries to put Iron Man back at the centre of the Avengers, and Galactus has sent in his Gatherer Drones to propel the story forward. With a whole host of Fortnite Marvel LTMs for us to flex our muscles with, it looks like Earth's Mightiest Heroes will need all the help they can get.
