Click to enlargeIn order to receive an upgrade outside of any personal performance-based boosts, each Ones to Watch player's team must win at least three out of the next eight games from when the promo began. This is obviously a lot easier for the players from the biggest teams, but you never know when a club might just have a good run of form.
In addition to this, there is a second upgrade available in conjunction with the World Cup, where the cards will be entitled to another boost if their country wins a single game. They don't even need to be in the squad to qualify for this, all that needs to happen is that their country wins a game. Unfortunately, this does rule out both Haaland and Kessié from receiving the second boost as their countries have failed to qualify for the World Cup, but I don't think that will affect the former's upgrade chances that much.
