A classic throughout the recent years of FIFA, 4-2-3-1 is the ever-reliable formation that balances attack and defence. You can either opt for two wide attacking midfielders, or two out-and-out wingers, depending on your team composition. Marauding full backs are ideal to make use of the full width of the pitch and ideally, you'll have attacking midfielders and wingers with decent finishing, to support the lone striker up top.
