FIFA 22 Editions don't necessarily set the elite apart from the casual player, but depending on the edition, you're likely to have an advantage over your friends and foes. FIFA 22 will come in two editions: Ultimate and Standard, and with each variant, players will get different rewards - especially when pre-ordered. The higher the edition, the better rewards you will be gifted from the get-go, allowing you to master the game before it's even released and having an influx of top tier talent on both FUT and career mode. Here's what to expect from the FIFA 22 Editions, and how to pre-order.

Once you know which version of FIFA 22 to get, check out the rest of our guides to the game here:

Pre-ordering FIFA 22 will open up the offer to get the Ultimate Edition, and receive bonuses for the Standard Edition. It also allows you to avoid the October 1 trolley dash around town to find which stores have a spare copy left.

You can pre-order FIFA 22 Editions through the PlayStation and Xbox stores, and through the EA Origins Website. Individual stores may also allow for pre-orders, although you will be required to visit your local branch to collect it on the day.

Pre-ordering the FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition before its release on October 1 will unlock a range of features that will likely enhance your Ultimate Team experience and give you an early competitive edge on the game.

The bonus content on offer will allow players to strap their boots on prior to the game's official launch, have a range of boosts on FUT, and even an enhanced pool of talent to pick from in career mode.

Players pre-ordering the FIFA 22 Ultimate edition will get:

  • Full Access To FIFA 22
  • Four Days Of Early Access
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick (contract valid for three FUT matches)
  • Kylian Mbappe Loan Item (contract valid for five FUT matches)
  • One Team Of The Week Player (untradeable)
  • Dual Entitlement - free PlayStation 5 upgrade
  • Untradeable Ones to Watch Player Item from October 1
  • 4600 FIFA Points

Previous FIFA titles would have split the 4,600 approximated FIFA Points into an instalment of weekly packs, however, FIFA 22 will go route one with the points and punt them straight into your box. This way, the player can choose how to spend the points, whether that be in FUT Draft or in the huge variety of FIFA packs.

Pre-ordering the FIFA 22 Standard Edition will also unlock select rewards, opposed to buying the game on-disk upon release or from the game store once the full game is launched.

No matter whether you pre-order the FIFA 22 Standard Edition today or an hour before it comes out, you'll receive the same bonus content.

Players pre-ordering the FIFA 22 Standard edition will get:

  • Full access to FIFA 22
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick (contract valid for three FUT matches)
  • Kylian Mbappe Loan Item (contract valid for five FUT matches)
  • One Team Of The Week Player (untradeable)

Most of the added bonuses stem from FIFA Ultimate Team, although you do also get the added no-nonsense download, rather than the faff and hassle of charging through shops at the old-fashioned midnight launches.

Any purchases of the FIFA 22 Standard Edition following the launch of the game 9not pre-ordered) will receive no additional content. Some may receive loyalty rewards for Ultimate Team, but as a correlation to which edition they have bought.

FIFA 22 will launch on October 22, where players will be able to get to grips with their favourite players once again in an adapted and updated game.
