There are nine different areas in which an F1 driver is scored, with the tenth value being their overall rating. Individual rating categories include:

Braking
Reactions
Accuracy
Control
Smoothness
Adaptability
Overtaking
Defending

Each of these areas sets the drivers apart from each other. For example, World Champion Max Verstappen has an extremely high cornering score, but a lower adaptability rating. Meanwhile, drivers like Lando Norris have a super high rating in control but struggle in the adaptability department.

It’s up to you as the Team Principal to choose your drivers carefully, optimise a race strategy around them, and develop the drivers into the best racers they can be.
