Formula 1 fans, the time is now. Whether you’ll be doing your best Toto Wolff impression and flinging your headset in anger at FIA decisions, or just being the loveable and friendly Guenther Steiner, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into as you try your hands at being a team principal.

A dilemma for many when starting a new F1 Manager 2022 game is… what team do I manage? Luckily for you, we’ve listed out three very contrasting challenges to try your hand at.

Mercedes - A Return To The Top

Whether you’re new to F1 or a seasoned veteran, you’ll know that in recent years Mercedes has been a force to be reckoned with. The Brackley-based team have been constructors champions for eight years in a row, alongside having 7 back to back drivers champions before Max Verstappen's win last year.

The 2022 season has been a different story though, Red Bull and Ferrari have been in a different world. While in the current season Mercedes are not too far away, they are still a class behind. When starting the game, your car will be sitting in 3rd place out of all of the teams, so why not attempt to close that gap and return to glory?

Alpine - A Step Away From Middle Of The Pack

At Alpine, you have a two-time world champion in Fernando Alonso, although at the age of 40 and a contract expiring at the end of the season. The challenge at Alpine is interesting, you’re a middle-of-the-pack team fighting with the likes of McLaren and AlphaTauri, but need to manage short-term and long-term gains.

You will almost immediately be left with the dilemma of potentially bringing in a big-name driver to take up your budget, or improving the car to keep on top of your rivals. Will you be able to tempt Oscar Piastri to the team on a full-time basis?

Williams - A Sleeping Giant

While in recent years Williams, by extent of Nicholas ‘Goatifi’ Latifi, has been a bit of a meme. While George Russell was a shining light on a poor team, they have finished last in three out of the last four seasons, and currently sit in last.

This has not always been the case though, Williams is a nine-time constructor world champion, founded by the great late Sir Frank Williams. This is a team that is a sleeping giant.

With Latifi, you have the worst rated driver on the grid, while Albon is a few places above. Managing the car while getting in a new driver could be a tricky challenge.

There are 3 teams to try in F1 Manager 2022, we hope you tear up the circuits and win that coveted constructors title.
