You may be wondering how to save in Dying Light 2, as there is no option to manually save. Many games the size and depth of Dying Light 2 often have manual saves, but due to the choice and consequence system that's been heavily advertised - it seems they neglected to add it so that players would live with their actions. Basically all the saves in Dying Light 2 are automatic saves, and they all overwrite the same file, so you can't go back to previous saves at all once a new save has been initiated. Luckily, Dying Light 2 can be quite generous with its saves, and they will happen frequently enough that it shouldn't be an issue.

You will get an auto save whenever you finish a mission or an objective, and this runs the gambit of objectives, including opening Military Airdrops, completing GRE Anomalies, and activating Nightrunner Safehouses. This means you get autosaves for just stumbling across many activities in the game, and you can purposefully do one of these objectives just to get a save.

Besides this, sleeping in your bed and fast travelling are easy methods of getting an automatic save whenever you need one. During quests, these are the best ways to save your progress before reaching a new objective, but outside these, exiting the game will generally trigger an autosave too, respawning you at the nearest safe zone when you load back in.

That's our rundown for how to save in Dying Light 2, and now you should know how the saving works, along with a few methods to trigger an autosave.
