Season of the Witch in Destiny 2 brings new exotic armour pieces for each of the classes to use, continuing the trend of Destiny 2 forever expanding the arms (and armour) that players can acquire and use with new updates.

Exotic armour comes around each season in Destiny 2, and we have gotten some interesting additions to the game in Season 22 - so here is everything you need to know about the new exotic armour to be found in Season of the Witch.

How to get new exotic armour in Destiny 2 Season of the Witch

The typical way of getting new exotic armour in Destiny 2 is through Legend or Master Lost Sectors. These new armour pieces are all gauntlets, so you will need to wait for a day when the Lost Sector is granting exotic gauntlets in order to get them.

If it isn't an arms day in the Lost Sector rotation, you can head to Neomuna to the current Vex Incursion Zone. Exotic armour can be acquired by completing the Vex Strike Force event, and this will grant new exotic armour you have not yet acquired.

The new Warlock exotic armour in Season of the Witch is the Briarbinds exotic gauntlets. These gauntlets are for your Void subclass and greatly improve the effectiveness of your Void Souls. The description reads:

"Your Void Souls have a longer duration. They also gain escalating damage and durability as they defeat targets. You can retrieve your Void Souls by interacting with them, allowing them to be redeployed."

With these gauntlets, you can pretty much have unlimited up-time on your Void Souls (so long as you manage them well). Picking them up resets the timer, meaning you can use them indefinitely. Also, using Void Souls can grant ability energy, meaning more wells, meaning more Void Souls.

What's more, it is possible to have multiple Void Souls on the go at once if you use the Briarbinds effectively, so it is definitely a top-tier item for Warlock Void builds.

The new Hunter exotic armour in Season of the Witch is the Mothkeeper's Wraps exotic gauntlets. This exotic turns your grenade into a cage of seeking moths. The description for the armour is:

"Your grenade becomes a cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally. If they reach a target, they detonate in a blinding explosion; if they reach an ally, the moths grant your ally a Void overshield."

Destiny 2 has added a handful of support tools that allow you to play as a healer, and this exotic will play nicely in any healing build, as being able to debuff enemies and support teammates is hugely beneficial.

The new Titan exotic armour in Season of the Witch is the Pyrogale Gauntlets exotic, uh, gauntlets. This armour piece alters the Burning Maul super into a totally different power. The description is as follows:

"Modifies Burning Maul into a single high-damage slam of your hammer that creates five cyclones of flame. Consecration's second slam creates a cyclone of flame."

As mentioned, this totally changes Burning Maul into a single-fire super that does damage to enemies around you. It also changes the Consecration melee ability so that it also creates a flaming cyclone, creating a huge amount of area of effect damage.

That is it for all of the exotic armour found in Destiny 2 Season of the Witch. For more, head to our Destiny 2 homepage, or check out our Destiny 2 Season of the Witch artifact perks guide.
