Dead Island 2 is an action role-playing game and the latest entry in the series, after nearly a decade of development hell that has seen the game passed between three different studios. While it's been a rocky road, the game is now around the corner as of writing this, with an April 21 release date.

So, if you want a comparison of the Dead Island 2 Pulp, Deluxe, and Standard editions, we've got you covered.

For those of you who preorder any edition of Dead Island 2, you will gain the Memories of Banoi Pack, which is inspired by the first game in the franchise.

This pack features four in-game items: the Banoi War Club, Banoi Baseball Bat, the Balanced Weapons Perks, and the Personal Space Skill Card.

Standard Edition

The base edition of the game just includes a physical or digital copy for whatever platform you choose, and if you're early enough to get a Day One version of the Standard Edition, you'll get the preorder bonus as an extra.

Pulp Edition

You can also shell out a little bit extra for the Pulp Edition, which comes with a physical copy for your platform of choice, the preorder bonus, and the Pulp Weapons Pack, which includes the Homewrecker Sledgehammer and the Eye Opener Pitchfork.

Deluxe Edition

Gold Edition

The Gold Edition of the game is also for people looking to buy digital, and features everything from the Deluxe Edition, including the Pulp Weapons Pack and the Expansion Pass, giving you whatever DLC releases post-launch.
