How to get Celestial & Hypogean heroes in AFK Journey
If you're after Celestial and Hypogean heroes in AFK Journey, this guide will explain all the ways you can get them.
Celestial and Hypogean heroes are some of the strongest in the game, and they're a lot harder to obtain than your average Epic hero. It takes a while before you can even attempt to pull one, but there are less random ways to obtain them too.
How to get Celestial and Hypogean heroes
There are a few different methods to obtain your own Celestial or Hypogean heroes, which I've listed below:
- Roll on the Stargaze Station
- In the Guild Store for 30,000 Guild Medals
- Guaranteed copy from the log-in event
These are all the methods available at the moment, and you can get a few guaranteed copies without too much trouble after putting some time in.
Unlocking Celestial and Hypogean heroes

Firstly, you can use the Stargaze Station to obtain potential Celestial or Hypogean heroes. You'll unlock the Stargaze Station after recruiting 400 times.
This works like the regular recruitment in the game where you use currency to "pull" heroes, except you'll need a new currency called Stellar Crystals instead of the usual Invite Letters.
After 40 Stargazes you can get your chosen hero guaranteed, but it'll take a while to amass all the Stellar Crystals you'll need, especially if you're a free-to-play player. The standard chance of pulling a Celestial or Hypogean on a single roll is 3.25%.
Guild Store
Next, you can purchase Celestials and Hypogeans from the Guild store. If you have 30,000 Guild Medals you can exchange them for a Soul Sigil for one of these heroes.
Click to enlargeBy doing this you can get a guaranteed copy of them, and you can even get six of them each month if you have a huge number of Guild Medals. You can grab Guild Medals by doing Battle Drills and competing quests for your Guild.
Log-in Event
You can also get guaranteed copies through the log-in event. Every 7 days you log in grants you a random S-Level hero, including Celestials and Hypogeans.
You can only get each hero once through this method, so eventually you can guarantee a copy of all four Celestials/Hypogeans currently available.
