How to get Artifacts in AFK Journey
Artifacts give a handy boost to your team in AFK Journey, but some can't be found until later in the game.
This guide will explain how to get each one and what they do. I'll also rundown which Artifact is the best to use and why, so you can make sure you're not using a weak Artifact throughout the game!
All Artifacts and where to find them
There are six Artifacts in the game currently. Here's a list of all the Artifacts, what they do and how to find them:

| Awakening Spell | This is the first Artifact you'll obtain in the story | 5 seconds after the battle starts, summons Radiant Life to restore 3 weakest allied heroes max HP by 7% every 10 seconds. |
| Enlightening Spell | Main Story | At the start of a battle, the ATK SPD of 1 rearmost allied hero in the back is increased by 80 for 15 seconds. While the skill takes effect, the buffed hero gains control immunity. |
| Ironwall Spell | Story Quests or 1st Purchase Bundle | Blesses the frontmost allied hero at the start of a battle, increasing Phys DEF and Magic DEF by 15% and Energy on Hit by 20. EVery 12 seconds, grants the blessed ally a shield by 20% of their max HP for 6 seconds. |
| Confining Spell | Story Quests or Trolley | 3 seconds into a battle, deals magic damage equal to 25% of the team ATK to 2 enemies in the back every 12 seconds, making them unable to move or act for 1.5 seconds. |
| Blazing Spell | Story Quests or Trolley | Shoots a fireball at the weakest enemy every 5 seconds, dealing magic damage equal to 20% of the team ATK. |
| Starshard Spell | Story Quests or Trolley | Every 4 times allied heroes cast their Ultimate, a flame wave is unleashed on all enemies. The flame wave deals true damage equal to 16% of the target's current HP and up to 60% of team ATK. The wave also reduces target's ATK SPD. |
As you can see, you can purchase some Artifacts directly, but this probably won't be necessary since you can get them through the story.
What's the best Artifact to use?
Click to enlargeSome Artifacts are particularly useful for certain battles, but two of them stand above the others as generally good options. The best Artifacts are currently the Confining Spell and Starshard Spell.
Confining is great as it deals big damage and stuns enemies in the backline, which can be the difference between victory and defeat in many fights. This Artifact is ideal as it allows your team the chance to get their ultimate ability online slightly earlier than the opponent's backline.
Starshard Spell is pretty great too as it deals a large amount of true damage and debuffs the enemy team. Pair it with a team comp that can use their ultimate often and you should see results.
