Always Be Closing is back – with a twist. The limited-time mode is hitting Apex Legends servers on August 11 to 18 and is now titled Always Be Closing Evolved.

The premise of the limited-time mode is simple – the Ring moves constantly throughout the match, forcing you and your opponents into tighter and tighter spots as the clock keeps running.

Unlike the debut of the game mode during the Grand Soiree Arcade event back in January, this time Always Be Closing Evolved will give you a fighting chance on drop instead of scrambling for loot – in the form of a Mozambique (a D-Tier weapon...) and an Evo Shield.

So, how can you make sure you win all your matches of Always Be Closing Evolved in Apex Legends? We got you.

PICK THE RIGHT LEGENDS

Speed is key, so use Legends who are good at rotation – like Wraith, Pathfinder, and Octane. Utilise jump pads, portals and ziplines to move swiftly across the map, and out of the ring’s burn.

Octane can also use his stim to dash out of harm’s way, and Wraith can utilise her void-walk to avoid any unnecessary health damage from the ring, just as Pathfinder can grapple away at a moment's (okay, 35 moments) notice.

However, healing can also be beneficial when the ring does catch up with you, even for a split-second. Consider swapping one of these Legends out for Lifeline and her D.O.C.

Although, if you're looking to be the ultimate damage-dealer (and play dirty), and want to catch those unlucky teams just out-running the ring, picking Bangalore or Gibraltar can equip you with the damaging and large-radius ults you need to keep that poor squad at bay and turn them into death boxes.

WHICH WEAPONS SHOULD I PICK UP?

Your weapons need to be as fast and furious as the ring, meaning no camping on that high ground with a Sentinel. Use SMGs and Shotguns for the best shot at a fast time-to-kill elimination. The R-99 paired with a Mastiff is your best bet at some run ‘n’ gun kills, leaving you with time to escape the burning ring’s clutches.

Always Be Closing Evolved will feature mainly close-quarters engagements, so keep an eye out for extended mags – you’ll need those extra few bullets when you’re spraying and praying in a tiny box room.

If you're known for nasty headshots, then the Wingman is still a lethal option in your loadout, especially with the Skullpiercer hop-up.

LOOT QUICK AND LOOT SMART

This may seem obvious – but it’s vital to remember. Don’t waste time looking for that Selectfire Receiver, drop in, pick up what you can, and get out.

You probably won’t need or use 240 Light Rounds, so don’t bother scrambling for those stacks either. Be sure to pick up syringes and shield cells – quicker heals that can be used in a pinch, as opposed to the agonisingly long Phoenix Kit usage.

Although, if you're lucky enough to come across a Gold shield, then those smaller healing items will do the job even more efficiently.

So there you have it, everything you need to know about how to win your Apex Legends Always Be Closing limited-time mode matches. Stay tuned at GGRecon for more Apex Legends news and tips.
