The world of gaming peripherals is a tough one to track most of the time. Especially as we move into a generation of gaming that allows for graphical fidelity like we’ve never seen and the potential for 120 frames per second in even the most demanding of games, it’s hard to find a balance between getting the best you can offer your next-gen consoles and wasting your money with something that’s completely overkill.

And no peripheral better exemplifies this than a gaming monitor. The difficulty of finding the right monitors no joke, especially when you’re working with such high specs as are found in the Xbox Series X.

But, as it would seem, Xbox themselves have found a solution for fans still on the hunt for the best way to play their games.

Xbox Announces ‘Gaming Features for Xbox’

In response to the difficulty found in looking for a monitor or TV that perfectly suits the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has come forward with a solution. They have introduced ‘Gaming Features for Xbox’, a series of monitors that have been approved to do everything you need it to do with your new console. In the official release on the Xbox website, they say “Soon, players will see the new ‘Gaming Features for Xbox’ badge appear on select monitors on the market, so you can be confident your new display can support the full speed, performance and technology of the Xbox Series X|S.’

Included in these monitors are huge high-end TVs like the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV 55”, which comes with a soundbar and ambiglow lighting installed on the back to extend the screen across your wall and lure you further into your games.

Another is the ASUS Strix Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor, which comes in at 43” wide and has a minute 1ms moving picture response time. Perfect for pushing the frame rate of your favourite next-gen titles.

Plus, for those of you who prefer a PC monitor to the whopping TV, The 28” Acer Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor should sort you out, supporting 120Hz at 4K, once again bringing out a 1ms response time and a high colour accuracy to make sure you’re getting the most out of your games.

This is a great scheme that’s bound to help a lot of gamers narrow their search down for a monitor that’ll be able to contend with the power of the Series X. They look a little expensive, but to be honest - we imagine they’re worth it.
