If you're in the market for a new video game, there's nothing quite like Black Friday. Especially if it's a title you've had on the back burner for the last few months.

Massive price slashes mean it's hard to find better deals at any other time of the year, and for those playing on Xbox or PC, you'll be happy to know Microsoft is coming out swinging with its discounts.

In particular, one price slash has caught our eye: Starfield. Although Bethesda's galactic adventure has only been available for two months, it's also available on the cheap. If you've been on the fence about exploring deep space and jumping into a new RPG, this could be your best opportunity.

Xbox's massive Black Friday sale begins on November 17, and the Green Team is rolling out an extraordinary amount of price cuts.

Starfield may be the ultimate deal, with the RPG's base game being hit with a 20% discount and the Premium Edition also being reduced by 15%.

If that wasn't enough, there's even an Xbox Series S Starter Bundle that has been reduced to $249.99. This includes three months of Game Pass, meaning Starfield, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and more are all yours, alongside the console itself.

From November 17, you can save up to 50% on digital games, 65 % on select games from Xbox Game Studios, and 67% on select PC digital games. The console deal goes live on November 18, but if you shop on Amazon, you'll be able to find an Xbox Series S 1TB and Starfield download for $409.98.

What if Starfield isn't your cup of tea? Well, Xbox has covered you with discounts on over 1000 games throughout Black Friday. Highlights include Assassin's Creed Mirage, Diablo IV, FC 24, Mortal Kombat 1, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Another big win for Xbox owners is Halo: The Master Chief Collection getting a whopping 75% off. Black Friday is an exciting time to be a gamer, so if you're tired of your current catalogue of titles, maybe consider treating yourself to a fresh experience this weekend.
