Activision has recently been faced with the dilemma of retaining their devoted fan base as the global pandemic begins to ease and gamers have packed away controllers in trade of a drink down the local watering hole, a foamy coffee with companions, or even weights down at the reopened gyms.

With many players lives returning to normality, Activision's iron-clad grasp on their players' gaming chairs needed tightening, and what better way to do that than roll out yet another extensive update with explosive content and some familiar faces joining a star-filled cast.

So, here is everything you need to know about the As part of the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update.

New Warzone POIs

Nakatomi Plaza

One of the most iconic buildings from the 80's film and television era is landing in Verdansk, as Die Hard's Nakatomi Plaza has now been added as a humongous POI. The building known for John McClane's brute shenanigans has replaced the Broadcast Tower in Downtown, adding a new feeling to the vertical game in Warzone.

CIA Outpost

One of the Aircraft Hangar's in Military Base has now been adapted into a secret facility for the CIA, as the covert operations' organisation has landed in Verdansk 1984.

Survival Camps

Ten rather small Survival Camps have been added into Warzone, although they don't come as a useless addition. The camps are littered throughout the map and will add cover in the open areas of Verdansk 84, adding a nice rotational POI, especially in the end-game.

Warzone Side Events

To celebrate the arrival of some hard-hitting new operators, Warzone and Black Ops Cold War players are now challenged to shed blood sweat and tears in an "80s Action Heroes" event.

The in-game challenges will offer up a range of charms, stickers, Weapon Blueprints, and more, similar to the Hunt For Adler theme that has now concluded.

80s Action Heroes Bundles

After Verdansk was nuked and we all travelled back in time to suit the Black Ops Cold War 1980s era, the developers have now begun to ramp up the content around the time frame. Their first major collaboration comes in the way of 80's Action Heroes, namely two bundles that will highlight Die Hard's John McClane and Sylvester Stallone's Rambo.

John McClane Operator Bundle Includes:

  • John McClane Operator

  • 2 Legendary SMG Blueprints
  • Legendary Assault Rifle Blueprint

New Weapons

Baseball Bat

Batterrr-up, as Warzone's latest weapon will undoubtedly knock you out of the park. Bound to be a home run with the Baseball fans and even appeal to the inner hooligan in players, the Baseball Bat melee weapon will be a hard-hitting tool and will add style points to any players' kills.

AMP63

Despite the incredibly overpowered introduction of the Sykov Pistoils which had Warzone feeling completely unbearable, Activision has played devil's advocate and added yet another automatic pistol to the mix. Fortunately, this weapon may be more of a balanced secondary, not landing with 80 round mags.

Ballistic Knife

Having been added to Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch's signature blades have now been added to Warzone. The Ballistic Knife comes with an essence of sweatiness, but can be a lot of fun to use. Expect to see it pop up in the Gulag.

New Multiplayer Maps

As normal, a range of new maps has been added to Black Ops Cold War, including one fan-favourite remaster.

Standoff

Finally! Standoff is here, looking as beautiful and as rust as we remembered. Much like the addition of Raid, Standoff has all the feel of its original form but with a slight lick of paint. It's as if it never left, and nostalgic fans will reminisce on here for weeks.

Duga (Multi-Team)

As part of a brand-new 30-player game mode, Multi-Team, Duga will act as their playground. The map will play host to ten teams of three, almost like a small battle royale, within Black Ops Cold War
