All of those deaths that occured on Fortune's Keep back in Warzone 1 are now coming back to bite us in the backsdie, literally, in the sequel title.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is bringing back Fortune's Keep to Warzone, and with it, Activision has confirmed that the rotting corpses are rising again. Zombies will now be found in certain parts of the map.

But all is not lost, as you will also be given a helping hand in tackling them, should you choose to. Some rather handy perks and powerups will be dotted around the Warzone map, synonymous with the Zombies series.

Fortune's Keep now plays host to the undead, with lairs beneath the castle being opened thanks to a destructive earthquake. With lore pointing us ten years ahead of the last time we saw the map, Konni has now used the underground facilities to begin experimenting with 115, resulting in the dead rising again and even spawning in mimics.

But in order to battle these, and your enemies on the map, you will now be able to find Zombies powerups, which will allow for seven new variations of boosts.

These perks will pile on top of the boosts you will have selected in your loadout, with some lasting as long as 90 seconds, while others will be a one-time instant buff.

Zombies powerups are a staple of the undead mode, so as the reanimated corpses move into Warzone, a few staples are also coming over.

Unfortunately, Insta Kill and Death Machine are staying well locked away, but other popular boosts like Max Ammo will be available:

Powerup Boosts
Double Points Doubles your ground loot and kills, and score events in Resurgence, available for 60 seconds.
Full Armour Fully fills your active Armor slots on pickup.
Max Ammo Fully fills ammo for all your carried weapons on pickup.
Fire Sale Reduces the price of all shop items for 90 seconds.
Looting Spree Adds bonus items to caches, with a very high chance of a bonus Common item, and a small but significant chance of an additional Legendary item, lasting 60 seconds.
Zarkour Increases movement speed by around 10%, with infinite Tactical Sprint and Reloading while Sprinting, and disables Fall Damage.
Undead Sight Operators or AI enemies within the range of your vision are highlighted red and friendly squadmates are blue. Tracker footsteps are active.

These perks have already started to pick up traction ahead of Fortune's Keep's re-release next week, with some players already wanting the Zarkour boost to be permanently applied, which would likely boost the map's overall speed.

The developers have also claimed that these powerups will be adjusted throughout the season with a bit of fine-tuning, but they will be here to stay for the entirety of Season 2.
