Winning Warzone matches consistently is about using every tool at your disposal to outplay your opponents on the battlefield.
Of course, this means using the strongest loadouts, ensuring your positioning is perfect, and having great team coordination.
You also can't afford to forget about Buy Stations, a place where Operators can purchase Killstreaks to assist them to victory. One of which is the Precision Airstrike - a tool that is particularly useful for pushing foes out of cover, or dealing with roof campers.
Well, Raven Software has revealed that a major Precision Airstrike change is coming in Season 2, and it's left the community divided.
Huge Precision Airstrike change coming in Warzone Season 2
Taking to Twitter, popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL revealed that Raven is planning on changing Precision Airstrikes in Season 2 to show opponents the path of the explosions on the minimap.
This will give enemies time to exit the area, giving them an exact radius of the projectiles. It even showcases which direction the plane is heading in from ahead of time.
There's no doubt this is a significant nerf to the Precision Airstrike and may make it less effective in Season 2. It's unknown whether this upgrade to UAVs will come with a price reduction to the Precision Airstrike in Buy Stations.
Warzone fans concerned Airstrikes will be "useless" if this goes ahead
The reception towards this change has been mixed, with some claiming it's a "good addition" that will take the "guesswork" out of trying to avoid the killstreak. It's obvious those in this camp were tired of being instantly wiped out by Precision Airstrikes and felt they were unfair.
As with any Call of Duty update, not everyone loves this change. In response to the news, a vocal group of CoD players declaring that this will make Precision Airstrikes "useless."
"What is the benefit of using a precision airstrike if enemies are just going to know exactly when it's coming and where it's coming, feels like it's catering a bit too hard to those getting hit by it," said one user, with another arguing, "IMO this makes them pretty useless."
Looking at the response, it feels like the community is split directly down the middle on this adjustment. As it hasn't been implemented yet, the devs still have time to tweak it - it'll be interesting to see if they stick to their original plan or shift direction based on the backlash.
