Warzone fans have celebrated a major nerf to "OP" Cluster Mines that means they will no longer one-shot players with full plates.

Everyone enjoys playing Warzone in different ways, with highly aggressive skirmishers opting to zoom around the map challenging anyone in sight, and tactical sentinels preferring to post up in a power position and adopt a slower approach.

Both methods are effective, but those who choose to camp can be extremely frustrating to take down. This isn't because of their weapons or even position on the map - it usually comes down to the sneaky equipment they've put down to kill unsuspecting enemies.

One of the biggest culprits for this is the Cluster Mine, but the deadly explosive has finally been nerfed in a recent patch and competitors are over the moon.

Cluster Mines have been hard nerfed in Warzone

Call of Duty released the March 13 patch notes and alongside some much-needed weapons nerfs, the Cluster Mine took a massive hit as well.

Following the update, it now "requires two mines from a Cluster Mine to down a full-plated player." This should result in less infuriating deaths where it felt like there was zero counterplay.

There's nothing worse than trying to storm a position to eliminate a camper, just to be wiped out in a millisecond by an explosive.

It's worth noting that a player with no plates will still be downed by a single mine, so make sure you're always topped up.

Warzone fans love Cluster Mine nerf but also want it "deleted" from the game

As expected, the dev's decision to bring down the hammer on Cluster Mines has gone down well with the community, who claim it's "about time this happened."

While in their opinion, the Cluster Mine "audio still needs some work," this is a solid change that should make matches less frustrating.

"Would do anything for them to delete this s**t along with the mosquito drone," said one user, with another claiming "W, the majority of deaths in a BR should come from gun fights, not OP special equipment."

Although fully-plated players can feel safer wandering through enemy-occupied buildings, those running low on armour still need to keep their wits about them, as Cluster Mines are still a huge threat.
