Warzone 2's Gulag Jailer will beat you down if you try to escape

Vondel has created a new bad guy in Call of Duty, as the Gulag jailer has become one of the most brutal characters in the universe yet.

When Al Mazrah was first rolled out into Warzone, the Gulag was an utter mess. There were random teammates on your side doing absolutely nothing, you'd often be placed in a 2v1, and the jailer would cause unnecessary mayhem.

But even though he served as a distinction for the most part, it actually seems like the jailer is one badass character in the Call of Duty series.

The new Vondel Gulag, based on the original, also has a Jailer in the game's waiting room, and you will not want to mess with him.

Warzone's Jailer is the real boss in Call of Duty

As usual, in Vondel you can run around the outskirts of the Gulag as you wait to find someone who will be on the receiving end of your 1v1 skills, or the two duelists in the pit below you finish their skirmish.

However, unlike the original landscape, it seems like you can try to escape.

In a now-deleted Reddit post, one Warzone fan showcased them confronting the Jailer on their own, resulting in the prison guard taking no nonsense.

With only a slight prod, the Jailer performed a brutal finishing move on the Gulagged player, consistently beating him up until it was their time to fight for real.

Escaping the Gulag reportedly triggers a Jailbreak

Despite the jailer being a massive bully, and a brutal one at that, it does seem he's quite clumsy though, as one Redditor claimed that he can drop his keys in this process when approached by multiple players at the same time.

According to one fan, the Jailer will lose his keys, and if they are picked up, it will set off a jailbreak for all players to return to the arena.

"This happened to me yesterday. But on another occasion, I fought him with a fellow gulaggeer and he dropped his key and we all got a jailbreak," they said on Reddit.

"On only one occasion a key was dropped, not sure how common it is. Maybe both jailers need beating up," they added.

This hasn't been trialled or tested though, and might have just been a mere coincidence.

But either way, the jailer will get his hands on you at some point, and you best pray that he doesn't make you too black and blue before your Gulag showdown.
