The start of Warzone Season 3 was dominated by the Renetti, with the pint-sized Pistol taking over the close-quarter meta.
With SMGs being tossed to the wayside, the Renetti's popularity continued to rise until it felt like everyone was using the gun on Rebirth Island and Urzikstan. That's when the devs stepped in on April 10, bringing down the nerf hammer on its max damage, min damage, max damage range, and multipliers.
As you would expect, this wiped away its presence in Warzone, with almost no one using it following the patch. Well, WhosImmortal believes they've found a Pistol replacement that actually has the same TTK as the pre-nerf Renetti.
Akimbo WSP Swarm matches pre nerf Renetti TTK in Warzone

- Barrel: Pestilence-12 Short Compensated Barrel
- Rear Grip: Akimbo WSP Stinger
- Magazine: 32 Round Mag
- Laser: XTEN Sidearm-L400
- Ammunition: 9MM Hollow Point
Breaking down the stats, WhosImmortal has discovered a build for the WSP Swarm Pistol that actually matches the TTK of the pre-nerf Renetti. Before the changes, the Renetti had a 490ms time to kill up to 10m, and the WSP Swarm akimbo is actually faster at 480ms.
This makes the weapon absolutely absurd at deleting foes in face-to-face combat, especially on Rebirth Island, where you're constantly navigating enclosed spaces.
Keep in mind, that you will have two of these in hand, which makes accuracy a lot harder with the WSP Swarm, especially on MnK. This setup is immensely strong on controller as you'll have access to aim assist.
Paired with a meta AR, LMG or Sniper, you'll have a true solo-carry loadout that will never let you down, even in Ranked.
How popular is the WSP Swarm in Warzone?
According to WZStats, the WSP Swarm has a respectable but low pick rate of 0.74% in Season 3 so far. This is certainly solid, but given its potency with an akimbo setup, it'll be interesting to see if it increases over time.
Not everyone likes having a weapon in each hand, as having no ADS can feel strange to some competitors. However, getting used to this playstyle could be a game-changer, given how much damage output these Pistols can provide.
