Money isn't everything, but it for sure says something if we win it in a highly competitive game of skill. Warzone competitor Thomas "Tommey" Trewren is the first player to break a $500,000 lifetime prize pool winnings.
With a round win at OpTic's Kickoff tournament during the Solo Yolo part of the event, Tommey secured $20,000 to break the half-a-million barrier.
More than a decade in the making
Tommey has been a Call of Duty professional since 2010, playing for organisations such as Team Dignitas, Team Vitality, and Team Reciprocity during his tenure as a pro player. In 2019, he also made it into the Call of Duty League, playing a season for the Dallas Empire.
With the launch of Warzone in 2020, Tommey turned his veteran experiences onto the Battle Royale, becoming a streamer for North American lifestyle and esports brand 100Thieves.
Winning various events over the years, he mastered Warzone Wednesdays and several team-organised tournaments, as well as the World Series of Warzone 2023 NA Stage 2 Finals in June 2023. Tommey has displayed a level of consistency throughout the game’' competitive lifespan that nobody can currently hold a candle to.
League of his own
According to the tracking tool Warzone Earnings, which has yet to update Tommey’s most recent victory, the player is over $50,000 ahead of the next-ranked contender Ben "Almxnd" Rosendahl. Third-placed Aydan "AYDAN" Calafiore currently sits at $432,178, though he has also admittedly tracked for 40 fewer tournaments than Tommey.
World Series of Warzone Solo Yolo winner Skullface is currently also on a tear, winning two of the four solo events during the OpTic Kickoff, raking in a cool $40,000 in the process. However, he's still not close to Tommey - currently sitting just below $300,000 won in Warzone prices total.
You can find Tommey on his Twitch channel at twitch.tv/tommey where he streams almost daily.
