This Simple Wraith's Portal Trick Can Help Apex Players Barricade Buildings

Apex Legends, like all battle royale games, is all about winning. Each individual Legend has their own abilities that can change the game in your favour. More so than others, Wraith's portal is one of the most effective abilities on the game, and when used correctly it can turn a game on its head and be the difference between becoming a champion and becoming a death box.

Whether it's using it to create a safe passage away from enemies into a safe area, or using it to head back into the storm to revive a teammate, or even using it to flank opponents with your full squad, Wraiths portal is one of the most crucial parts to any Apex squad, and you'll seldom find a squad around Kings Canyon that doesn't have her in it.

This new simple trick, found by Reddit user u/reeterdee, allows you to use the portal to hold down a building and know exactly where enemies are going to be.

As you can see from the clip, by placing a portal at each door, Wraith and her squad could stay bunked up inside it, knowing that an enemy team would have to pass through the portal to get into the building at the other exit. Especially useful in the final circles as the storm closes in, this trick allows the team to use the shelter to pick players off, despite some missed Peacekeeper shots.

You could even pair this with a Watson fence or Caustic's gas which would cause damage to opponents trying to get in the building.

Beware of the duration of the portal though, as you can see towards the end of the clip as Wraith exits the building to attack the enemy Octane, the portal cannot lock down the building forever. When using this, make sure to capitalise.
