Larian Studios have announced that the next Baldur’s Gate 3 patch will be coming on 21 September.
Alongside updates to the game, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be getting full Mac support, meaning even more people will be able to get hands on with the RPG.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to Mac on 21 September
Larian Studios has been working hard to allow as many people as possible to play Baldur’s Gate 3.
The game initially launched on PC on 3 August, but recently also became available on Playstation 5.
Reportedly, Larian initially intended to bring the game to Mac on 6 September, alongside the Playstation launch, however this was delayed.
While the game is technically already available on Mac, this is only the early access version, so it will be the first time players are able to experience the full game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will also be coming to Xbox X|S consoles later this year, after problems with split screen on Xbox Series S delayed the launch.
Larian plans to support PC and console cross play in the future
In an interview with Eurogamer, Larian Studios confirmed that cross play is on the roadmap for Baldur's Gate 3, which will allow players to explore the world with their friends on other consoles.
Michael Douse told Eurogamer: "It was always in the planning but we knew it wouldn't be for launch. It's in the roadmap, and though we have an idea of when we'd like to get it ready for, we don't want to put a date on it until we're sure."
As it stands, cross-saving allows players to move their files from one platform to another, and online and split-screen coop works for both platforms individually.
