He who laughs last, laughs longest. There's a terrifying terror jumping off the spookily revamped Battle Bus, as the Batman Who Laughs is finally coming to Fortnite. Baring his teeth and bringing the horror in time for Halloween, the Batman Who Laughs is a welcome addition alongside this year's Fortnitemares.

The collaboration between Epic Games' battle royale juggernaut and DC Comics is nothing new, with Aquaman first making a splash all the way back in Chapter 2 Season 3. Since then, we've seen everyone from Batman to Wonder Woman land in the shop, while Chapter 2 Season 7 recently saw Superman soar down upon us.

Who is the Batman who laughs?

This isn't the first we've heard of the Batman Who Laughs, thanks to the end of the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point crossover neatly setting up his arrival. DC introduced this menacing version of Bruce Wayne in 2017, with the Batman Who Laughs helming from Earth-22's Dark Universe.

After the Joker killed the likes of Catwoman and Jim Gordon, Bruce took revenge on his nemesis but was infected with a vampire-esque venom. When Batman lost his mind, he went on his own bloodthirsty rampage and offed Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Red Robin, turned his son into a vampire, and murdered the Justice League.

Even for DC, this is particularly dark. It was almost too dark to think the character could be included in Fortnite.

How do you unlock The Batman who laughs in Fortnite?

Looking just like his grisly comic book counterpart, the Batman Who Laughs could be the most adult Fortnite skin we've seen. Alongside Alien's Xenomorph and Predator's titular hunter, this isn't one for the kiddies. Still, the Batman Who Laughs is perfectly timed for the sinister season.

If you're already sold, the Batman Who Laughs is currently in the Fortnite shop and will cost 1,500 V-Bucks. Away from the main skin, there's the Wings of Madness glider for 800 V-Bucks and the Death Metal Scythe costing the same. For those who want the whole kit and caboodle, the Batman Who Laughs bundle includes all three and an extra back bling for 2,200 V-Bucks.

Of course, this isn't the only way to get your hands on the Batman Who Laughs. Just like the Batman/Zero Point comics came with free skins, those who've bought the latest issue of the next crossover comic can see the Batman Who Laughs stretch his wings for free. Be warned though, the issue saw the gruesome demise of Tomatohead at the hands of the Batman Who Laughs. Either way, happy hunting this Halloween.
