We're only a matter of weeks away from the beginning of a brand-new Bethesda adventure in the form of Starfield, and as the developer's first new IP in over 25 years, it's an exciting time.
Fans have waited more than long enough, with numerous delays and extended development times. Finally, players are about to get their hands on what could yet be Bethesda's masterpiece. Leaks are beginning to pour from the vessel, and as expected, there are promises of many more to come.
Starfield leaker promises more details to come
A huge leak of Starfield's first 45 minutes has seeped out from the game's review copies being sent out, and the leaker behind it has suggested that they're merely scratching the surface. Leaker Memphian94 has painted a target on his back, but he's not backing down.
The video might have been pulled from the internet, but before it was stripped from YouTube, Reddit users spotted that the has every intention of sharing more. Alongside promises of higher quality videos, he's planning a video covering the contents of the Collector's Edition before Starfield's official release.
It's fascinating that there's some kind of content creator hype behind this total random online, but it's definitely a fun shift from what we'd expect. This comes after Bethesda itself seemed to accidentally confirm a series of story leaks that were doing the rounds.
Starfield leaker apologises to Todd Howard
"Todd… no offence, man," says the leaker who put out 45 minutes of Starfield footage on YouTube, in a direct appeal to the man in the chair, Bethesda's Todd Howard. He simply says, "That's a good game," which seems like a pretty short response considering he's sure to be in Bethesda's crosshairs right now.
Despite apologising directly, he vows to continue leaking the game ahead of its September 6 release. Even though Bethesda will undoubtedly be hot on scrubbing footage from the internet, it keeps popping up in other corners. We've already warned you to start muting, so here's a friendly reminder.
