Taking a look at the meta in Warzone Season 2, it almost feels like you have to pick an MW3 weapon based on the rankings.

The RAM-7, Pulemyot 762, RAM-9, and MTZ-762 are all dominating, but what if you want an old-school option from MW2?

Well, although the pick rate charts are not kind to the Modern Warfare 2 guns, there are a few "sleeper" loadouts that are capable of solo-carrying matches.

WhosImmortal has discovered one such option and its biggest strength is the rifle's "ridiculously" strong long-range TTK.

  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Optic: CORIO Eagleseye 2.5x
  • Magazine: 20 Round
  • Ammunition: 7.62x51mm High Grain Rounds

Missing the MTZ Interceptor meta? Then it may be time to pick up the trusty LM-S from MW2, a "sleeper" weapon that has more to offer its given credit for.

Equipped with 810ms TTK at 70m, this means it kills at absurd speeds when picking off pesky enemies from afar. As you would expect, this makes it a monster on Urzikstan and ideal for anyone with top-tier accuracy.

While not the easiest weapon to use, it recently received an idle sway buff in Season 2, making it less difficult to hit those far-away targets.

The loadout above aims to maximise the gun's velocity while also giving you the stability to land those crucial headshots.

With just a 0.2% pick rate according to WZStats, the LM-S has been forgotten by the majority of Warzone competitors.

While definitely unjustified, it provides an opportunity to use a hidden gem that you rarely see in Battle Royale matches these days.

So, if you're craving a change and want to go a little off-meta, the LM-S has the tools to carry you to victory.
