Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys has revealed why she decided to collab with YouTuber Jidion "JiDion" Adams after the pair went viral for doing a Q&A together in which they discussed their hate raid drama.

The Pokimane vs. JiDion beef was all anyone could talk about last month. After JiDion encouraged his followers to spam Pokimane's stream, he subsequently encouraged a 'hate raid'. JiDion's two-week Twitch ban for the move was then upgraded to permanent after he continued to harass her online along with a number of offensive trolls. However, JiDion then made numerous public apologies to the streamer and called on his own followers to back down. Pokimane heard his pleas and the duo appeared to make up.

Much to everyone's surprise, Pokimane and JiDion revealed on February 3 that they were coming together for a collaboration in which they discussed the drama. Now, Pokimane has revealed just exactly why she buried the hatchet and JiDion and teamed up with him for a Q&A.

Why Did Pokimane Collab With JiDion?

On February 23, Pokimane posted a clip on YouTube from one of her previous streams called 'It's Finally Over', seemingly alluding to her beef with JiDion. In the clip, Pokimane stated: "[JiDion] really had no benefit going out of his way to tell them to stop bothering me. So when I saw that he did that, and those people did remove their comments and stuff, I reached out to him on Twitter."

She went on to explain that the two had a "really nice" hour-long Discord chat in which she expressed her gratitude for JiDion's apology and for telling his followers to leave her alone.

Pokimane also claimed JiDion wasn't expecting the situation to "snowball" as it did, but she wasn't afraid to tell him why the jokes he made about her were not "good to make." However, JiDion "seemed to really understand" and, once again, "apologised profusely."

JiDion hasn't responded to Pokimane's most recent video, as of writing. However, he did state in the Q&A video that he didn't like having "beef" with people. He also talked about the Discord call he had with Pokimane and that she seemed like "a really cool girl."

Whose Idea Was The Collab Between Pokimane And JiDion?

According to Pokimane, it was JiDion who came up with the idea of meeting up together following their Discord call. The 25-year-old claimed that JiDion said they "should try to fix this somehow" and that, perhaps, by showing they were "cool" with one another, the drama might finally blow over for good. She ended her video by saying how she thought JiDion was a "really nice guy," but that he just had to be "taught" a few things about the effects that his comments caused.

So, as Pokimane said herself, the beef between her and JiDion is officially over, but she had one last thing to say before drawing her video to an end: "The funniest thing about all of this, is that the guy who started it all [...] he was faster to apologise to me than Ninja and Jessica Blevins."
