Ladies and gentlemen, BlackCells and Mil-Sims, Kortacs and Specgrus, get your duffel bags at the ready, as Plunder is back.

Warzone 1's Plunder spin-off game mode, was one of the most-played in the original battle royale, offering up the chance to respawn as many times as you'd like on Verdansk, serving as both a TDM for levelling up guns and a fun side hustle fo the try-hards.Now, Plunder is back...

Plunder arrives in Warzone 2 on April 26

After six months of waiting since Warzone 2 was released, the fan-favourite Plunder is finally arriving on April 26. Originally, the game mode was labelled as an "in-season" addition, which indicated that it would come during the mid-season update.

Now, Call of Duty has confirmed its early arrival, just three weeks into Warzone 2 Season 3. The cash-grab game mode is set to be played only on Al Mazrah (at least for now), where teams will be racing around the map to find and complete contracts to rack up a hefty wad of money.

No, Warzone 2 Ranked isn't coming too

With an influx of game modes seeping into Warzone 2, many also speculated that this new playlist update would also see the arrival of Ranked too.

However, it seems like only Plunder will be added by the end of April, as Ranked is being saved for the mid-season update that is due in May.

With Ranked differing in rules from the usual Warzone 2 experience - predominantly in the weapon class restrictions field and an additional health boost given (akin to Warzone's Time Trials) - the developers will likely need all the time they can afford to be ready.

For now, Plunder is the new game mode for Warzone 2 players to enjoy, which will come as quite the welcome addition for the free-to-play audience.
