NICKMERCS Extends FaZe Clan Contract
Popular streamer Nicholas 'NICKMERCS' Kolcheff has extended his contract with FaZe Clan for an additional three years.
After shocking the world in 2019 by leaving 100 Thieves, NICKMERCS joined FaZe Clan, and has now pledged his future to the monster esports organisation.
Nick joined FaZe over a year ago after a disagreement with Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag resulted in him in leaving 100 Thieves where he had been since 2018. Rising to popularity through his professional Gears of War career and incredible Fortnite content, Nick now streams a number of games including Call of Duty: Warzone and Tony Hawk: Pro Skater - even pairing with the games namesake star live on stream.
The full contract has not been disclosed to the public, however, it is estimated to be a multi-million-pound figure. Having over 60,000 monthly subscribers and over 40 million monthly views on YouTube, NICKMERCS also hosts a variety of online tournaments, including his Warzone event: the MFAM Gauntlet.
In a press release, the organisation stated that this move "firmly entrenches Nick as the face of FaZe Clan, as the organization will look to Nick to produce more creative and engaging content that aligns with FaZe's reach within the sports, music, and entertainment landscapes,".
NICKMERCS was rumoured to have left 100 Thieves in 2019 due to a disagreement between himself and co-founder Nadeshot, who apparently promised Nick a 10% stake in the organisation and never came through. Although this has never been fully confirmed, Nick recently backed up the story on his Twitter.
Now in a new home, NICKMERCS will be gracing his fans as one of the main faces of FaZe Clan until 2023, at least.
