New Warzone Glitch Turns FR 5.56 Into One-Shot Kill
It's another day, another Call of Duty: Warzone glitch as Infinity Ward's battle royale brawler has once again left players throwing their controllers at the wall in rage. This time, an underbarrel shotgun has been supercharged into a lethal one-shot weapon that can take out opponents at a crazy distance.
By now, we've all heard about the "demon gun glitch" that makes the weapon in front of you look an unrecognisable mush of pixels. Now, the FR 5.56 has had a facelift to become some sort of sniper rifle shotgun.
We've already covered how players have been glitching themselves under the Verdansk Prison or inadvertently being sent straight to the Gulag, meaning there's been no shortage of problems with the Season 5 update.
Season 5 has brought plenty of popular tweaks, with the FR 5.56 also getting a boost to improve its range capabilities. The problem is, the developers made it too good. When using the underbarrel shotgun attachment, the FR 5.56 can take down opponents at 15m. It was previously capped at 5m and under.
Popular CoD player TheXclusiveAce showed the glitch in action and said they made the video to draw Infinity Ward's attention to the problem and hopefully get it patched quicker. Until then, we strongly advise you don't use the FR 5.56 for nefarious reasons. Streamer "HusKerrs" had a mind-boggling 41 bomb game as the souped-up FR 5.56 tore through the field and made light work of anyone that got in its way - even from far away.
Thankfully, the FR 5.56 glitch probably won't completely ruin the game because the underbarrel shotgun ammo isn't that easy to come across. Unlike the standard shotgun ammo, you'll have to hunt high and low through ammunition box and ammo dump for underbarrel shells. Infinity War has also said it's aware of the problem and is "working on a fix". More details will be shared at a later date.
Infinity Ward has tried to ban cheaters in the past, but has had limited success. Cheaters and hackers are constantly finding a way into Warzone, while the numerous glitches are also making gameplay sometimes impossible. Not everyone will hop into a match and use the FR 5.56 this way, but until the devs fix it, you can bet plenty of people will now it's been brought to the mainstream.
