Stranger Things is back on top. After dropping its first season on Netflix back in July 2016, the series became a cultural phenomenon for good reason. The supernatural mystery series made stars of its cast and the Duffer brothers, shooting life into Netflix's streaming numbers all by itself - so it's no surprise that it was renewed for so many seasons after.

And with this new season, divvied up into two parts, Stranger Things is performing better than ever. This means its return to horror slasher title Dead by Daylight would be wise. And it looks like that could be on the cards - with some extra characters to play around with.

Is A New Stranger Things And Dead By Daylight Crossover Coming?

The icky, nasty villain of Stranger Things 4, and character who looks much too naked to make us feel any level of comfort when looking at him, Vecna, is rumoured to land in Dead by Daylight.

According to DBDLeaks on Twitter, they've been told that Netflix is in contact with Behaviour Interactive in hopes of reviving the discontinued collaboration with Stranger Things (which brought Steve, Nancy and the Demogorgon to the game). If a new Stranger Things and Dead by Daylight crossover is on the way, it'll bring the show back to the game with new content in tow, namely the addition of Vecna.

When Is Stranger Things Returning To Dead By Daylight?

So, with this conversation between Behaviour and Netflix rumoured to be on the go, it leaves the question - when will the discontinued crossover, plus Vecna, be coming to Dead by Daylight? Well, according to DBDLeaks, we might have to wait a hot minute for it.

In the replies to the tweet announcing the conversations, the account suggests that the crossover will be ready to play in-game at "Christmas 2022". The second half of Season 4 comes out in July, so it would be strange to have to wait another five months to get a DbD crossover. Then again, it would be quite the present to have Vecna coming down the chimney.

Stranger Things fans and Dead by Daylight fans alike should be pretty pleased with this deal, especially considering that the Demogorgon has been absent for so long. Then again, there are sure to be complaints that similar to a second Resident Evil crossover, why are we not getting something really new like Chucky or Pennywise. Oh well, back to the Upside Down we go.
