Caustic might just be the best legend in Apex Legends when it comes to fortitude and control.
The beefy, intoxicating character epitomizes the controller category, using his canisters to secure buildings and pathways and utilizing his ultimate to create utter chaos in small areas.
But if you’re thinking about taking the plunge to the green side, you might want to hold off for now, as it appears that there is a string of bugs that are making Caustic completely useless in the game.
Caustic's canisters are broken in Apex Legends
Since the dawn of time, Caustic mains have been using canisters to block doors and provide a safe haven for teammates to get a respite and heal up before the third parties come to play.
But recent videos have now shown that Caustic’s gas traps don’t actually serve their purpose, as they can be shot through closed doors and even just fold over when they can’t be bothered to protect their owner anymore.
As seen on Reddit, using the new firing range, the Caustic Traps can be set off by firing through the doors, and the doors are simply opening outwards instead, revealing pathways into the buildings thanks to the glitch.

Given that this bug, unlike many others that are also in the game at the moment, directly breaks one character, players are using Respawn to get this fixed.
"I lost it at 'the trap has given up.' I haven't played caustic in a while but used to love blocking doors. Sad to see this is the state of things. Hope Respawn fixes this," said one fan on Reddit.
Another added, "I've switched to Wattson. I'm done with Caustic until this is fixed," although most fans were unanimous that they shouldn't hold their breath.
It seems that there are more legends than just Caustic too who are being failed by the door glitches, as Rampart's defensive walls are also being breached with ease, leaving just Catalyst as a viable option if you want to shut up shop.
