Out of all the characters on the Apex Legends roster, Horizon has been one of the hardest to balance over the years.

The Gravitational Manipulator's kit is overloaded with excellent abilities, making her incredibly difficult to face in a skirmish.

With a massive Ultimate that provides useful crowd control and a Tactical that allows her to escape death in an instant, she's an absolute force in the hands of a talented competitor.

Multiple consecutive nerfs have brought her back down to earth in recent seasons, but the release of Solos has led to more calls from fans for Respawn to bring down the hammer on her again.

Apex Legends players call for more Horizon nerfs

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user DerKingKessler decided to vent their frustration about the "broken" state of Horizon and her overloaded kit.

In their eyes, her "Q is still completely broken" as it offers a "free escape" at the click of a button with no wind-up time. While in the air, Horizon has "free healing and free high ground" access, making it simple for her to reach power positions with ease.

Alongside a "strong Ultimate" and no "movement penalty" from the Passive, they argue, "Horizon is and remains the strongest legend in the game and it is incomprehensible to me how she continues to remain almost untouched."

From their perspective, Solos is the perfect demonstration of her power in gunfights, with countless "Preds" using her to dominate lobbies. While an everyday Horizon player can be beamed out of the lift, DerKingKessler argues those who "exploit her movement" are unkillable in certain scenarios.

How popular is Horizon in Apex Legends Season 21?

Looking at the popularity charts on Apex Legends Status, Horizon sports a solid 4.8% pick rate, putting eighth in the overall rankings.

While high, it's nowhere near Wraith's 7% or Lifeline's 8.2%, so this may be one reason Respawn is holding off on more nerfs.

Others in the thread do agree with DerKingKessler's statement, claiming that the devs seem "scared to actually balance" her due to fears of frustrating a portion of the community.

Some fans have gone as far as to say that the "day she was added was the day Apex became a lot worse," which puts into perspective how much hate there is for the Gravitational Manipulator. It seems unlikely that a Horizon Nerf will arrive, especially based strictly on her overwhelming power in Solos.
