The beloved Borderlands has been pretty quiet for a moment, but many feel like it's the calm before the storm.

Eli Roth's movie based on the bizarro looter-shooter is coming this way, and though the ongoing writer and actor strikes could lead to the film tanking at the box office, that doesn't mean that fans aren't massively stoked about the arrival of the adaptation - with a stacked cast to boot.

But the games themselves have been silent since the launch of D&D-alike spinoff, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Fans are wondering just where the series has gotten to, but now, it looks like some clues are starting to surface.

Curious. As initially spotted by Gematsu, The Film and Publication Board of South Africa has released a list of classifications for films and games that are set to release in the future. While most of it is recognisable, there's one Borderlands title that fans didn't expect to see.

The listing is for both console and PC, titled The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora's Box. We know absolutely zilch about it beyond its title, but it does seem to imply that it is yet another collection of games on a single disc - something that Borderlands has become well-acquainted with.

Borderfans don't know what to expect here, though some have theorised that it'll be a compilation of the first three titles, plus The Pre-Sequel. We know it's not very exciting, but we'll take it if it means more players get to experience Pandora.

Does The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora's Box have a release date?

We haven't got any inkling of a potential release date just yet, but many have speculated that the package was set to be released alongside the launch of the movie. If this is the case, it might've been pushed back to coincide with the troubled film's slow schedule.

This actually makes pretty good sense, as it explains why the game collection appeared on the classifications list in the first place - but it is still up in the air. Whether or not you'll engage with yet another collection of the same Borderlands games is irrelevant because this package will bring more players to the series. That can never be a bad thing.
