In the midst of one of the most jam-packed collaboration-heavy seasons Call of Duty has ever produced, the usual die-hard realism fans have rallied in a harmony of complaints, sick to death of seeing Nicki Minaj lineup against them in an all-out gun-on-gun war.

Modern Warfare 2 has edged that way, with more crossovers than ever before coming in October to celebrate Halloween, and leaving the classic all-ghillied-up outfits as a distant memory.

But ahead of Modern Warfare 3, faith has just been renewed in the developers, as fans have spotted an absolute medley of new mil-sim Operators and they're falling in love with the game all over again.

This year, Sledgehammer Games is going rustic from the get-go, and while there are probably a bunch of collabs in the pipeline, we're being treated to some straight-up badass soldiers first.

The Modern Warfare 3 trailer did showcase some rather eccentric skins that will come in the game, presumably in Season 1, but for the most part, the operators on display were pictured wearing a range of camo-based outfits replicable of real-life conflicts.

One fan has compiled a list of 12 new Mil-Sim outfits that were all visible in the trailer, with those ranging from desert and sand-based beige strips to arctic white and rock-blue jumpsuits to blacked-out nightvision and gas mask-donning stealth suits.

With an abundance of skins finally being passed over to those hard-core vets, it seems like Sledgehammer Games is getting its well-deserved plaudits.

"Pretty awesome skins, we're being fed well boys. Hopefully this actually continues throughout the entire game like MW19," one fan said on Reddit.

"I like what they did. They have the weird flashy futuristic stuff which I don’t like too much, but they also have loads of modern skins which is cool. Giving to both sides," added a second fan.

Other fans hoped that this would serve as more of the same, but all knew that we're more likely to have Superbass than Superman.
