We're quickly moving toward Modern Warfare 3 becoming the most collaborative game in the Call of Duty series, catching up to Vanguard's '80s party. Heading into Season 4, the crossovers continue to drop.

Season 3 of MW3 brought us Warhammer as the main attraction, with the likes of Cheech and Chong, Devin Brooker, Godzilla and Kong, and Snoop Dogg all added to bolster the kooky cavalry. These added to the likes of Dune and The Walking Dead that pre-existed in this year's Call of Duty universe.

Now, Season 4 is set to continue the crossover-centric themes, with Gundam already being unveiled alongside a "top secret collab."

MW3 x Gundam was officially announced this week, with four Operator skins being shown off in the recent Call of Duty blog post.

But as part of the Season 4 roadmap, the developers revealed a "top secret collab" is also be coming, slipping it into the bottom corner of the roadmap.

The mysterious and undercover crossover tease uses Task Force 141 as a placeholder, with the unmistakable outlines of Soap, Price, Ghost, and Gaz all visible. It's safe to rule them out for such an announcement, so if not them, who could the ominous collaboration be with?

The first port of call would be to take the top-secret notion as nothing but a ploy and rather a sarcastic comment that accepts some recent leaks.

Recently, the grapevine has been buzzing with tales of a Fallout crossover, hot off the back of the success of the recent series. It's worth bearing in mind that CoD and Fallout are now both owned by Microsoft after respective Bethesda and Activision acquisitions and studio-owned IP crossovers have already started with Diablo characters in MW3.

It's also hard to ignore the big elephant in the room, which is Black Ops. Some fans have taken the four-person placeholder as a hint toward Treyarch's authoritative Zombies characters ("Tank" Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, and Edward Richtofen).

Others have speculated it has something to do with campaign characters like Alder, Mason, and Hudson, especially given that Frank Woods has already been found to be within the files. Or (as it says on the tin), it could be "top secret." Let's just hope it's not something ridiculous like Nicki Minaj 2.0.
