Let's not beat around the bush - we all want a third Titanfall game. Which makes it so much harder to be such a cynic around its release.
Titanfall was sadly squeezed into a back corner by releases from Call of Duty and Battlefield, and since it failed to make it worth EA's development time, Respawn Entertainment moved onto Apex Legends. Titanfall is now only touched on in the form of extended lore for the battle royale.
We've heard a lot about Titanfall 3 (or a lack of it), making it one of the most-anticipated sequels we'll likely never see. Now, it seems that creators hoping to farm from the game's popularity are getting a little sloppy.
'Leaked' Titanfall teaser looks like a fake
As shared to Twitter by JHaleStorm, there is a supposed Titanfall 3 teaser video spilling out onto the internet. It's clearly in the hope of baiting some poor players who are still clinging to hope, and it's working.
The video features the sounds of raging gunfire, as the words "worldwide premiere" appear on the screen bearing the Titanfall font. It includes the date that fades to leave only the number 3. Okay, we get it.
The teaser is pretty ham-fisted, and to many, is clearly a fake to many. Still, as there are some who are holding onto their excitement and praying they can bring themselves to believe it, others aren't so sure.
Fans know the Titanfall 3 teaser is 'bogus'
It seems that players in the comments aren't quick to be fooled, as they're pointing out that the teaser isn't quite as convincing as it thinks it is.
One wrote, "Lmao the copium is real," while another added, " Pretty sure a 10 year old could make that in a video editor. Very fake." A third concluded, "Fake as sh*t."
It's a shame that there are fans out there that are trying to dupe others, but the Titanfall fandom of the series is still strong enough to garner it. At least we're comfortable with the fact that it isn't coming now.
