There could be a new Twitch villain in town, so Felix "xQc" Lengyel had better watch his back. Not content with being an internet prankster, viral star, and boxer, Jake Paul is keen to add another notch to his belt - as the controversial character has teased a move to Twitch.

Despite Paul's massive presence on Twitter (4 million followers), Instagram (16.7 million) and YouTube (20.5 million), it's amazing he hasn't already turned his hand to streaming on Twitch. Much like older brother, Logan, Jake Paul has a chequered past of potentially inappropriate content and famously being fired from the Disney Channel. Keen to keep his nose clean, Jake Paul has set his sights on Twitch.

Will Jake Paul move to Twitch?

On August 4, Jake Paul posted on Twitter and showed off his impressive setup for a streaming future. In the snap, Paul is seen browsing through the popular Just Chatting section of Twitch. Asking his impressive follower base whether he should take a dive into Twitch, the results spoke for themselves.

Out of the 36,615 people that voted on the poll, 53% said no. Even though it's not a huge margin, you can't argue with the facts. While the poll leaned on the side of no, the comments seemed to champion Paul's latest brainwave.

One supporter wrote, "I think people’d be down to watch you do Just Chatting streams where you just react to stuff and also talk about random topics for sure", while another added, "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment".

A third warned that xQc's place at the top of Twitch could be in jeopardy. Even though the divisive Canadian is still the most-watched steamer of 2021, one Paul fan concluded, "YESSSSS easily would be the top streamed on twitch". We've got to admit, we could actually see it happening.

When could Jake Paul move to Twitch?

Considering Jake Paul already has the Twitch setup ready to go, it could be a matter of days until he makes the move. Even if the majority of his audience said no, it's likely the poll was there to test the waters. In terms of what sort of content he could stream, there were plenty of calls for him to stream boxing-related content.

Speaking of boxing, Paul could have a little more time on his hands after he joked he was going to retire from his sports career. At the end of the month, Paul will face-off against former UFC star Tyrone Woodley, however, it's rattled UFC President, Dana White. Discussing Jake Paul's career, an enraged White told Full Send Podcast, "I don’t hate the kid. Is he f*****g annoying? Yeah, he’s annoying. He’s out there trying to make that money, and his shelf life is very f*****g short."

In response to White's cutting remarks, a typically jovial Paul said he was leaving his boxing career behind to join Logan Paul's Maverick merch company. Even if Jake Paul is joking, he could shift his focus from training to be a boxing champion and enter the equally brutal world of Twitch. Watch this space.
