Fortnite has found itself in a 'sticky' situation, as players have a particularly NSFW theory about the recent Nike crossover. While the shoe sovereign and gaming giant coming together seems like the perfect collab, our trip to the Airphoria island has been marred by a pretty gross theory.
We'll be honest in saying we've never really considered what Fortnite skins are made of too much. They're all pretty out there, with Peely effectively being a giant banana and Lil Whip being ice cream. You have more obscure ones like Sludge and whatever the hell Bushranger is made of, but that's nothing compared to Airie.
Fortnite's Airie skin causes a stir
As pointed out by Kotaku, there's been a bump in searches for "c*m Fortnite," apparently linked to the Nike Airie skin. The female counterpart of the Maxxed Out Max is available as part of the Airphoria Pack, which is slapped with Nike branding.
While it looks like Airie is probably some sort of rubber/trainer humanoid, others have their own wild theories about her origins. Safe to say, it's not something that you'll want to search on the work computer. When one asked, "Do I even need to say what the right one looks like?," another responded, "Looks like cu……"
This was the tip of the filthy iceberg, with others soon jumping on the trend. As well as some questionable artwork, there was a flood of responses about the Nike c*m lady. One wrote, "Bold of Fortnite to release a c*m demon skin. I'm here for it," while another added, "Fortnite made a c*m skin The sex update is REEEEEAAAAAL."
Not everyone is a fan of the new Fortnite skin
Although most saw the funny side, others were genuinely disgusted by the trend. One critic vented, "This Fortnite skin has shown how insanely unfunny people are." Another added, "Oh no 12-year-olds are making dirty jokes," and a third concluded, "Bro has never met a woman in their life."
We doubt Epic or Nike realised what it was letting itself in for with the Airie skin, and while most see it as just another mid Fortnite skin, others are making the c*m skin trend. Whether Fortnite will react remains to be seen, but in the meantime, there are plenty of chuckles going on at the expense of poor Airie.
In the end, someone mused, "I think the skin is supposed to reference the air or foam inside the Nike shoes but people got too horny over it." Whatever Airie is made out of, most of us can agree that Maxxed Out Max is infinitely the cooler skin.
