Hold onto your butts, Fortnite fans have put their next big crossover in their crosshairs - calling for a Jurassic Park collaboration. If Epic Games was a "clever girl," it would cash in the success of Universal's dinosaur series, its six movies, and the various expanded media that have been 65 million (and 33) years in the making.

While it's Steven Spielberg's 1993 movie that put that doomed theme park on the map, remember it's based on Michael Crichton's 1990 novel. We've come a long way since John Hammond first opened his gates, and with Fortnite making the most of pop culture icons, we're surprised we've still not stepped into Jurassic Park.

Fortnite fans want a Jurassic Park crossover

Over on the Fortnite subreddit, players asked which IP they'd like to see a crossover with but likely won't because they're not relevant anymore. There were some impressive choices, with Who Framed Roger Rabbit being an obscure one. Someone else suggested Men in Black, and an out-there choice was Mr Bean.

Of course, Jurassic Park was a big one. "I want Jurassic Park already. Give Me shirtless Jeff Goldblum. Just give me him please," cheered one. Another added, "I just want shirtless Jeff Goldblum. I want to kill people with his body." That's sure to be a bestseller.

Someone pointed out how raptors and POIs like Creaky Compound seem like they're crying out for a Jurassic crossover: "This season was already filled with JP references. It’s like they really want to do it but can’t for some reason." As one concluded, "Fortnite uh, finds a way," we're asking, what gives?

Where is our Jurassic Park crossover?

We'd argue that Jurassic Park is still relevant, and with Jurassic World Dominion earning over $1 billion as the third highest-grossing movie of 2022, it's clear plenty of us still want to take a bite out of the series. As many of you have pointed out, it feels like we get so close to a Jurassic crossover and just stop short.

Last year, a supposed leak of ballers hinted at a crossover with Jurassic World Dominion, but nothing came of it. Up there with Back to the Future, Jurassic World/Park is one of the most-requested Fortnite crossovers. With news that raptors are being shown the door, we're one step further away from our Jurassic collab.
