Oh good, The Weeknd is back in the Fortnite shop - we were starting to get a little worried there. After Epic Games pulled the rarities from its skins it doesn't really matter, but for many, they're still looking out for that elusive skin that's been MIA from the Item Shop for years.

When it comes to showing your credentials in Fortnite, it's not whether you have a Victory Crown or not, it's what you're wearing. Whether it's Renegade Raider, God of War's Kratos, or the MCU's Black Widow, wearing a rare skin is the ultimate flex in the battle royale behemoth.

The Weeknd is back in the Fortnite shop

First appearing as an Icon Series outfit as part of Fortnite Festival Season 1, the fact The Weekend has been a mainstay of the Item Shop since then means he's not exactly a rare skin. We were first blinded by the lights in December 2023, and just months later, The Weeknd could be one of the most annoying skins out there.

If you were missing The Weeknd in the shop, you might've been the only one. After sitting there for ALL of Chapter 5 Season 1, he's been MIA for 56 days. Fear not if you haven't nabbed him already, The Weeknd is ready for you to splash your 1800 V-Bucks on.

We know Epic has been putting its efforts into Fortnite Festival, but with it becoming a meme that The Weeknd is a mainstay of the Item Shop, his return sees Fortnite become the very thing it despises.

At this point, the Fortnite shop is a joke

When the Fortnite Reddit got hold of the news that the April 18 Item Shop was being refreshed with The Weeknd, fans didn't hold back in ridiculing the game.

One joked, "Oh god he's back, Oh god please no." while another added, "Somehow, The Weeknd returned," and a third said, "One…two…The Weeknd is coming for you…" Our favourite comment was someone joking, "Of course the Decade returns before Kratos."

Others pointed out that we don't seem to have a problem with Lady Gaga being in the shop, although that's expected because this is her season. With certain skins falling out of rotation for years, it's a frustrating turn of events that Epic seems to dish out the same ol' lot. How many more times will we see X-Force as a Marvel collab?

Something tells us that anyone that wanted to nab The Weeknd might've done it by now, but for those few who aren't haunted by him every waking moment, you'll be able to add him to your wardrobe. You'd better be quick, we're not sure we'll ever see him again. Jokes, he'll probably be back next week.
