FaZe Kalei Back On Twitch Three Days After Being Banned
It’s not clear as to why she was banned to begin with, but Twitch streamer Kalei "FaZe Kalei" Renay is finally unbanned after three days off the platform.
Why was Kalei unbanned?
The StreamerBans Twitter account announced her escape from the naughty corner on Saturday, exactly three days after the ban occurred. If Kalei knows why she was unbanned, she hasn’t shared the reason yet, leaving fans to speculate and ponder on social media. Either way, she is sure to be happy at the chance to be back and streaming.
Why was Kalei banned to begin with?
Keeping in with Twitch’s ‘excellent’ communication with its user base, Kalei found out about her ban at the same as everyone else when StreamBans Tweeted about it. She was understandably angry after the whole ordeal, blasting Twitch as the “worst website to exist” and going on to claim they never gave her a reason as to why she couldn’t post or stream.
Kalei later posted a message she had received from the site, claiming she was banned indefinitely for sexually suggestive content. She also went on to say the excuse for her ban was ridiculous, as she would make certain she didn’t do anything that could be construed as sexually suggestive or explicit.
A follower of hers made the suggestion that it may have been the Twitch chat that caused her ban, as streamers are culpable for the actions of their chatters. This is also caused some confusion on her part, as the censorship in her chat is so high Orwell would have trouble envisioning it - meaning posting ‘baby’ or ‘babies’ isn’t allowed per her rules.
What is going on with Twitch?
The bad PR for Twitch seems endless at the moment, after a huge database leak, and more and more of its own streamers calling out the site for its lethargy and hypocrisy on tackling important issues. Even simple things such as streaming a game with licensed music can get you banned! With some of its long-time giant streamers also leaving for greener pastures, how long can Twitch keep getting away with it?
